Our big boy

Where to start? It’s been a while since a milestone post and Nate has certainly passed over a few new ones.

First, since just before the Christmas break, Nate hasn’t been wearing a diaper during the day. He has finally fully jumped on the potty train. A few times he has even gone all by himself when we weren’t around.

More recently he has been able to go diaper free at bedtime, even waking us up in the middle of the night to go if needed. Fingers crossed that soon he will just get up and go himself.

Finally, we made the switch to a big boy bed from his convertible bed with a safety rail. Meg was able to get it built while Nate was at Grandma and Grandpa’s, and I finished installing the rest of our new flooring. So when he came home we let him see it for the first time. Judging by his reaction I think he liked it.

It was a pretty successful first night in his new bed, although around 11:30 he did roll out and fall onto the floor.

It’s crazy to think that he’s already 3 and a half, and will be starting school in September… where did our little baby go?
