2 years old!

Two years, 24 months, 104 weeks, or 730 days. No matter how you break it down, my little man isn’t so little anymore!

I’m definitely having a “mommy-moment” looking back through the past posts and seeing how much he’s changed. I know I’ve called him my little man for a long time now, but now that he’s officially a toddler, I can feel time speeding up. I’m sure before I know it he’ll be 3… or 5… or 10! I wish I could slow it down!

As he grows, I’m just waiting for the words to start – driving home the other day, he added a heavily emphasized ‘s’ to his usual ‘top’ to the tune of ‘sssssssssssssssssstop’ at a red light. His vocabulary of understanding has also grown, and is able to point out more and more things in books when you ask ‘Where is the …’.

His coordination is improving as well – getting better at hitting the golf ball, scooping rocks into a bucket, running and jumping. He’s had his share of bumps and bruises, but lucky for us, Nate is the epitome of ‘rub some dirty on it and go’. Skinned knees, bloody elbows and scraped chin, but you’d never know it by the way he reacts.

If only I could get him to call me ‘mommy’… lets hope by 2.5!
